Yateley United FC is one on the largest community clubs in Hampshire with 32 teams across the adult and youth sections. The adults section has 6 teams covering men and women while the youth section has 26 teams plus a mini-soccer section for the 4-6 age group. Because they are so close to Berkshire and Surrey, the teams play across three league systems: Hampshire, East Berkshire and Surrey. The Boys U11s are one of three under 11 sides run by the club but are the only one to play on Saturdays. They were relegated from Div B at Christmas. Rather uniquely, Yateley Boys are managed and coached by a player's Mum, and include two girls on their roster, one of whom is also their youngest player in a squad of thirteen.
Once again, illness and parties have stripped Tigers of their full compliment. Hayden and Tommy will be missing this Saturday.
After the disappointment of defeat last time out, in a match that was far tighter than the scoreline possibly suggests, Tigers will be keen to finish the season with a winning run. Having already beaten one of the sides relegated to this division, a double success would be very welcome.
Hopefully, Storm Doris will have done her worst and we can look forward to a warm, dry weekend along with a Heart-warming victory.
See you on Saturday.
