Tigers welcome Pangbourne Youth from the north-west side of Reading. This is the first meeting between the two teams this season, the December fixture having fallen foul of the weather. The Falcons have had a tough season and find themselves three points adrift at the bottom of the table, having played more games than most of the league. Although they claimed three points by default on the opening weekend, Falcons suffered several heavy reverses before claiming a draw with Whiteknights. A one-goal in nine defeat at Caversham Trents was an outstanding performance but otherwise Pangbourne have struggled. They have averaged just over a goal a game but have conceded at a rate of nearly 6. Like Tigers, Pangbourne have a relatively small squad.
Tigers will again be stripped to the bare bones this weekend. With Jabir Ahmed unlikely to return this season, the squad is now just 12-strong. Captain Frazer Pickrell is doubtful this weekend having booked a visit to a University open-day so it is hoped that Louis Liddiard can return to bolster the numbers. 10-man Tigers had a frustrating defeat in a friendly with The Cheetahs last weekend, having been 2-0 up when goalkeeper Joe Wallis had to leave the field. Three easily avoidable goals gave the Div 3 opponents an unlikely victory.
With five fixtures remaining after this match, Tigers will be hoping they can cement a place closer to the top of the table. A defeat today would see the Hearts team propping up the table alongside the visitors.
