Tigers last home game of the season takes place this Saturday. Caversham Trents are the visitors, hoping to consolidate a third place League finish, although both Rotherfield United and Wargrave Wolves will hope to overtake them with a number of games in hand. Caversham are one of only two teams who will complete a full league season of 20 matches this weekend. League leaders Woodley Wanderers will hope that a win at Ashridge will secure them the title as they will also complete 20 league fixtures. It will be interesting to see where the medals do end up, as both Windsor & Eton (18 matches complete) and Rotherfield United (who will complete 16 matches next weekend) should have a better points per game average than Woodley.
Caversham Trents have had a remarkable season and their league position is to be commended. A strong start in September culminated with a walkover against lowly Whiteknights but then the wheels came off. An 8-2 thrashing from Wargrave started a run of defeats which they eventually ended by beating Woodley. In the New Year, Trents avenged the defeat by Wargrave but then suffered a 5 goal reverse entertaining Windsor & Eton. Trents lost 3-0 last weekend at Rotherfield. The February meeting with Tigers was called off as Tigers were unable to field a full side and the hosts took all three points.
Tigers will be hoping to name a 12 man squad after the disappointment of playing 45 minutes with just 10 players last Saturday. Kobe Sabado will be hoping that his goal-scoring touch has truly returned as he seeks to pip George Lee to the "Golden Boot". Kassab, Rustomji, Sinclair and Wallis will all be playing their 16th match this season.
