Tigers welcome Red Kites to Carlisle Park this Saturday. The Tigers have played against the Ascot based in both the 2015 & 2016 seasons at their Bagshot Road home, but Red Kites are making their first trip to Hampton. Tigers have won the two previous encounters, 4-2 last season and 1-0 as Under 10s.
This season has seen difficult starts for both teams. Tigers have suffered two defeats, but have showed positive signs in both games and probably just need to transition faster from attack to defence if they are going to turn defeat into victory. Red Kites opened their League season with a pleasing 5-3 victory at Bracknell Athletic but suffered something of a rout when entertaining Windsor Youth last Saturday. It leaves Red Kites 3 points and one place above Tigers, but with a poorer goal difference.
Tigers are without their Teddington School contingent who are all on a school trip this weekend. Eli continues to be dogged by injury having now injured his wrist. We should see this season's debut from Henry and Hayden will return, putting school rugby to one side for this week.
It will be good to get a first "W" on the results sheet for Tigers.
See you on Saturday.
