All rise at The Den (aka the Rec - Broom road).

Double trouble.

History is in the making as Hearts of Teddlothian U14 Lions are potentially on the cusp of an unprecedented season. Now on target to do the elusive and rare double as this weekend saw Lions beat Maidenhead Galaxy in a nail biting semi final 1 nil (a team top of & 3 leagues above Lions) to make it through to the EBFA plate/cup final.

What is more Lions are having a fantastic run in their league; that with games in hand are also looking to try & make the top spot!

A double? Lions U14? #believe!

This merry pride have worked hard (testament to being regulars at Tuesdays training sessions provided by the club) and having coined Broom Road as the Lion’s Den, are now seeing top teams coming unstuck against a resilient & resourceful U14’s squad…some would say “Thunderstruck” - a nod to the pre match anthem Lions play just before kick off!

What makes this even more special is that many of the boys have played together since they were 6 years old with the club and with those joining in the last few seasons - having had more than their fair share of footballing trials and tribulations on a cold waterlogged pitch an hour away on the M3 all those seasons - it does show that anything is possible or “nil sine magno labore!” Someone should put that motto on a shirt?

“C’mon Lions U14 - C’mon Hearts” …could it finally be coming home?”
