First game of the season and a move up to 7-a-side for Hearts U9 Pumas. Plus 5 new signings this season so lots of changes. A much bigger pitch means last years mad rush around the ball will no longer work. Focus at this age is on getting the kids to learn about shape & position. Really pleasing that many of the kids already understand this. Pumas hemmed the oppo in their own half throughout this match. When Windsor did break out defenders were in the right position to break up attacks. Game was tight though until Boden drilled in a free-kick into the top corner to break the dead lock just before half time. A second goal tap in was nicely put away by Zakir in the third quarter and then the Pumas started to go wild. Still playing well but everybody wanted to get on the score sheet and dribbling and chasing the ball took over. Pumas got one more goal before the end. Good game and nice to get off to a good start.
